2019 Silent Film Festival a Success!

Lights, Camera, Action!

On Monday, April 22, the 4th grade plus the 5th grade FLAG students and their families headed to Toll Middle School Auditorium for our 2019 Silent Film Festival. The Festival featured silent films the students created with Mrs. Cathy Gilbert, our Resident Artist in Theatre. Families got to enjoy free popcorn, walk the red carpet, take their photo and enjoy the many movie posters made by the students themselves. That led the way to the films, which were screened in their entirety for all to appreciate. This year, the unofficial themed seemed to be: Donuts and Cops who caught criminals and sent them to jail. {click through for photos)

APEX FUN RUN CHANGES!

APEX FUN RUN CHANGES!

Due to the rain, we need to switch the Apex Fun Run to a dance-a-thon called Apex Remix.  Instead of running laps, the students will be doing a variety of dance moves inside Hoover's gymnasium.  There will still be lots of energetic and fun music, as well as the great Apex Team leading the way.  Kids are sure to get in as many steps dancing as they would have running

Starting Monday, the Apex Fun Run Team will be on campus for two weeks. For those that have never experienced the Fun Run at Keppel, you're in for a treat. The students are always very excited to learn from the Apex Team everyday for two weeks and run their hearts out on Fun Run Day. Best of all, the money raised from this fundraiser goes toward art programs and education at Mark Keppel! (click for more)
